“Two men were reportedly seen on the premises earlier that morning.”
No arrests have been made after a man was shot and killed in Centurion a month ago.
Erasmia police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said police were investigating the murder.
Moloto said police responded to an alarm at a farm in Laezonia on the R511 around 10:00 on 23 July, where they found a 25-year-old man dead in a pool of blood in one of the outside rooms.
Moloto said reports indicated the plot was used for business selling livestock.
Earlier gunshots were had been heard from the room which was used as an office.
“Two men were reportedly seen on the premises earlier that morning.”
Moloto said nothing was taken and the owner of the plot was not around during the attack.
“Only the murdered employee was left to safeguard the place.”
The man was shot in the upper body and was declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
“We are yet to confirm the motive behind the killing,” said Moloto.
A case of murder was opened at Erasmia police station.
Police appeal to the public to assist with information that can lead to an arrest.
“Any information provided will be treated as confidential.”
