Authorities have launched an investigation following serious allegations against a former contract employee of the local ward councillor, Shakeel Bhaktawer, who is also a member of the Laudium CPF.
The CPF has suspended Baktawer and councillor Naeem Patel ended his contract two months ago when the allegations first surfaced.
“The Laudium CPF has been made aware of serious allegations against Shakeel Bhaktawar a member of our organization and also has been working as a contractor at the Ward 61 council office. Upon receiving this information, we have taken immediate action to suspend him from all CPF activities pending the outcome of the investigation.”
