Laudium Police welcomed the conviction of Bongani Zwane for housebreaking and theft which occurred between the evening of 05 September and the morning of 06 September 2022.
Sergeant Motubatsi managed to secure a conviction of the accused for one year direct imprisonment.
“It is alleged that the victim left his Mink street home with all his windows closed and doors locked.”
“It is further alleged that the victim received a cellphone call from the neighbours alerting him about someone in his yard.”
“When the victim arrived home, he noticed that items to the value of R30000 was taken and that the suspect gained entry through the window.” Sergeant Simon Chokoe told Laudium Today.
A case of housebreaking and theft was opened at SAPS and the suspect was later arrested.
The conviction was handed at the Atteridgeville Magistrate court on the 24th of January this year.
