ABOUT PROJECT CARE AND ASSIST
Liz Pattison, Public Relations Officer
We’ve all had a tough few years – COVID 19, regular power cuts, economic meltdown, rising crime, businesses closing, retrenchments – and some community members have had it tougher than others.
Project Care and Assist is part of the DLSSF Social Responsibility Programme, and is a way for us to help each other. There are many warm-hearted people in our community who are only too willing to help those in need. So If you need help – whether it be with transport to the clinic, shopping, a food parcel, a gas refill, toiletries, a phone recharge or some water during a long power cut – whatever it is, do please contact the Hotline for help.
Help for our community comes from our community, so if you have a little of anything to spare, or you have specific skills or resources that you can offer to help your neighbours, you can also contact the Hotline to volunteer. And do look out for the on-line Volunteer Registration Form, which will be posted on the www.dlssf.co.za at the weekend.
